Financial progress report of Mahayagya in Rupandehi of Manav Sewa Ashram made public

Kathmandu –Manavseva Ashram has released the financial progress details of the Shrimad Bhagavat Saptah Gyan Bigyan Mahayagya held in Rupandehi from Magh 7 to Magh 14. On Sunday, the original organizing committee in Rupandehi publicly disclosed the financial report up to Magh 30.

It was reported that during the Mahayagya:

  • Cash, Cheque, and QR Transactions: Rs. 12,188,525 was received.
  • Individual and Institutional Commitments: Pledged amounts totaled Rs. 39,342,437.
  • In-Kind Contributions: Rs. 376,970 was received from the sale of paddy and rice as well as via online media.
  • Additional Contributions: Rs. 391,269 from donors, Rs. 27,902 from the puja mandap, and Rs. 2,264 from miscellaneous sources.

In all, the total funds received amounted to Rs. 52,329,363.54.

On the expenditure side, spending included costs for food grains, kitchen and consumable supplies, publicity and printing, fees for artists and pandits, fuel, electricity, water and sanitation, worship and reception, maintenance, bank charges, program expenses, honoraria, transportation, and logistics. The total expenditure was Rs. 3,485,178.50, which resulted in a surplus of Rs. 48,844,185. Additionally, when accounting for security deposits and fixed assets, electricity deposits, bank balances and receivables, and pending TDS payments, the original organizing committee reported a total surplus of Rs. 48,895,142.30.

Manavseva Ashram is dedicated to the rescue, treatment, nurturing, protection, and family reunification of those forced to live under open skies, on streets, and in public spaces—especially the underprivileged, destitute, helpless, disabled, orphaned, and individuals who are physically and mentally vulnerable. The ashram officially commenced its services from its headquarters in Makwanpur, Hetauda on Bhadra 13, 2069 BS.

Furthermore, the ashram has declared its vision to build a Nepal free of street-dwelling individuals—specifically those unable to care for themselves and lacking any support—by BS 2082. With a resolve to effectively implement this vision, it is currently engaged in the rescue and dignified management of street-dwelling people in need, operating through 26 service centers across 20 districts in the seven provinces, as well as in all 77 districts and abroad in the United Kingdom, Qatar, and Australia. The ashram has also organized a grand yagyā to raise funds for constructing its own "temple of humanity."
