Rescue of 4 Street-Dependent Individuals in Need of Assistance on Saturday, 1 Reunited with Family

Kathmandu – On Saturday, four street-dependent individuals in need of assistance were rescued from various service centers of Manavsewa Ashram. Additionally, one individual was successfully reunited with their family.

On this day, services worth NPR 9,20,451 were utilized from the ashram's service centers.

To support the care of dependent individuals sheltered at the ashram, donors contributed NPR 1,05,820. Additionally, philanthropic individuals provided nine meal services (morning and evening) and five snack services across various service centers. The ashram also reported receiving NPR 1,17,330 worth of in-kind donations from various donors.

Manavsewa Ashram is dedicated to rescuing, treating, nurturing, protecting, and reuniting street-dependent individuals who are helpless, destitute, disabled, orphaned, or physically and mentally weak, living in hardship on streets, footpaths, and public spaces. The ashram officially began its services on Bhadra 13, 2069 B.S. from its main office in Hetauda, Makwanpur.

The ashram has declared its mission to make Nepal a nation free from street-dependent individuals—those who are unable to care for themselves and have no one to support them—by 2082 B.S.. To implement this goal effectively, it currently operates 26 service centers across 20 districts in all seven provinces of Nepal. Additionally, it extends its rescue and humanitarian management services to Nepali street-dependent individuals in the UK, Qatar, and Australia.
