Save the Children of the Streets

Save the Children of the Streets

Beneath the sun, beneath the rain,
Children wander, bearing pain.
Barefoot dreams on broken ground,
A silent cry, a haunting sound.

Their eyes hold stories, deep and vast,
Of fleeting joys and shadows cast.
They run through alleys, unseen, unheard,
Chasing hope like a fleeting bird.

No cradle soft, no gentle bed,
The stars their roof, the stones their stead.
Their laughter fades beneath the sky,
As dreams dissolve and questions rise:

Who will save them, lift their plight,
Guide their steps toward the light?
Who will hold their tiny hands,
And help them find life’s promised lands?

Oh, world so vast, with riches untold,
Why let young lives grow weary and cold?
Let us rise, let kindness reign,
And shield these children from sorrow’s chain.
