Rising Popularity of "Punakhun Maicha" Among Children

Kathmandu – The popularity of Punakhun Maicha is steadily rising among children. The latest storybook by author Yamuna Parajuli Adhikari has been gaining popularity among schoolchildren.

Punakhun Maicha is a storybook based on a Newar folk tale. It helps children understand ancient human civilization, which is one of the reasons why such children's stories have become increasingly popular among children and students in recent times.

Author Parajuli has been busy interacting with children at various schools. She has published more than a dozen literary works.Sabalko Sapna (2073), Jalasa (Gazal Collection) (2074), Tilke Suga (2074), Patko Shripech (2074), Tulpi (2078), Phulka Gehna (2076), Sunkeshari Nani (Children's Picture Story) (2078), Kanchu (Children's Novel) (2076), Aamale Buneko Moza Ra Topi (Illustrated Children's Story) (2081), Bolne Dhunga (Illustrated Story) (2081), Hajur Aamaka Mitha Kura (Illustrated Story) (2081), and Punakhun Maicha (Illustrated Story) (2081). Adhikari, who writes about women and children in Nepal's mainstream newspapers, remains actively engaged in children’s literature.

Previously, her children's novel Kanchhu received significant attention.
