KAVRE — In a vital humanitarian effort to protect vulnerable populations, ten street-dependent individuals were safely rescued from various locations across the Kavrepalanchok and Sindhupalchowk districts on Monday. The Mechi-Mahakali Rescue Journey is jointly organized by Manavsewa Ashram and the Ani Choing Drolma Foundation. The primary objective of this mission is to locate, rescue, and rehabilitate individuals who are forced to live in dangerous, exposed conditions on roadsides and in public places, particularly as the rainy season approaches.

The nationwide campaign is actively scanning districts across the country to provide medical treatment, shelter, and protection for those in need. The rescue journey is scheduled to continue its life-saving operations until June 5, 2026.
