Manavsewa Ashram: A High-Impact Rescue Operation of 40-Year-Old Kanchana

The rescue story of "Kanchana” is an identity that was given to her; she is named after the village where she was rescued. It is one of the many high-impact rescue operations by the Manavsewa Ashram who rescued her from the Kaval “Baniyani” village. Thus, she is now called "Kanchana Manav."

The 40-year-old woman was found living in acute destitution, left vulnerable on the streets with no identity, any recollection of her family, or her home. Her speech was unclear, and her language was unintelligible. Manavsewa Ashram is seeking anyone who may be able to help and has information about her background, her family, or anyone who may be able to help out.  Manavsewa Ashram is seeking anyone who may know about her family or anyone who can help trace her background.

If you recognize Kanchana, please contact us on our hotline number: 01-5979882

The Manavsewa Ashram is a non-profit organization that rescues, rehabilitates, and cares for vulnerable and mentally ill individuals and the abandoned elderly. It started from a single rented room and has expanded into nationwide branches, with over 35 service (Sewa) centers in seven provinces in Nepal. The Ashram is self-funded, supported by philanthropists and like-minded communities rather than depending on foreign donations. The Manavsewa Ashram family is deeply grateful for your support and appreciates community members who can help individuals like Kanchana and support our service to humanity.
