Sudurpaschim Rescue Mission: Manavsewa Ashram Launches 9-District Search to End Street Dependency

Manavsewa Ashram Dhangadhi Launches Month-Long Rescue Yatra for Street-Dependent People in Sudurpaschim

DHANGADHI – As part of a comprehensive humanitarian campaign to free Sudurpaschim Province from street dependency, Manavsewa Ashram Dhangadhi has initiated a massive rescue Yatra, successfully rescuing one person on its third day. The campaign aims to locate and rehabilitate street-dependent individuals across all 9 districts of the Far Western region.

The rescue mission, which began on Chaitra 26, is being conducted in close coordination with the District Administration Office, local security agencies, and concerned authorities. The operation focuses on providing care and rehabilitation to people in desperate need of shelter, particularly in the hilly, remote areas of the Far West.

According to Manavsewa Ashram Dhangadhi, the team held crucial discussions with Chief District Officers of Darchula and Baitadi, along with security officials, to define the action plan for this intensive mission.

The rescue journey, which has intensified its efforts in hilly terrain, is scheduled to continue through Baisakh 30. This campaign is part of a larger nationwide goal by Manavewa Ashram to make Nepal a "street-dependent human-free" country, focusing on rescuing, treating, and reintegrating individuals forced to live under open skies.

The ashram works to locate the genuinely helpless, providing them with medical care and bringing them into a safe shelter, laying the foundation for a more compassionate, dignified society.
