Mechi-Mahakali Rescue Journey: 21 Lives Saved on Day 8

This spirit of selfless service fuels the ongoing Mechi-Mahakali National Rescue Journey.
 
Day 8: Chitwan & Nawalparasi East
 
On Tuesday, the Mechi-Mahakali National Rescue Journey made a massive impact in the Chitwan and Nawalparasi East districts. The dedicated team, led by Manavsewa Ashram and the Ani Choing Drolma Foundation, rescued 21 street-dependent individuals (18 men and 3 women) who were abandoned on roadsides and in public places.
 
The Path to Healing & Reunion
 
The rescued individuals will be placed under the protection of various Manavsewa Ashram branches. The campaign aims to provide them with:
  • Comprehensive Care: Essential health treatment and medical support.
  • Basic Needs: Safe food and shelter.Family Reunition: Active initiatives to reconnect individuals with their loved ones.
Campaign Timeline
 
The journey is part of an ambitious nationwide movement aimed at making Nepal entirely free of street-dependent people.
  • Campaign Duration: Ongoing until June 5, 2026.
  • Mission Goal: To shelter and support vulnerable individuals, particularly in the lead-up to the challenging monsoon season.
