From Danger to Safety: Manavsewa Ashram Rescues 2 Orphaned Children from Rupandehi

Manavsewa's Rupandehi Rescue Operation: Two Children Rescued and Secured in Nepal

RUPANDEHI, NEPAL – In a commendable display of humanitarian service, the Tilottama branch of the Manavsewa Ashram (MSA) has rescued two young individuals living in dire conditions on the streets of Rupandehi, providing them with immediate shelter, care, and a glimmer of hope for the future.

The rescue operations, conducted on Monday, were part of the Ashram's ongoing mission to make Lumbini Province free of street-dependent people.

Urgent Rescue Mission in Tilottama and Lumbini

In collaboration with the municipal police, the ashram team rescued a 17-year-old boy from the Shankarpur area of Tilottama Municipality-9. The teenager, who is mentally challenged and unable to speak, was living a difficult life on the roadside. The Ashram is currently working to identify his family background.

Similarly, in a parallel operation, the Manavsewa Ashram team - in coordination with the Nepal Police - rescued 18-year-old Yashoda Manav. She was found abandoned on the roadside in Lumbini Cultural Municipality-6. Both individuals have been safely brought under the protection of the Tilottama Ashram, where they are receiving medical treatment and a secure environment to recover.

Commitment to Family Reunification

The Manav Sewa Ashram, a prominent NGO dedicated to rescuing homeless individuals, has stated that reuniting the rescued children with their families is their top priority. "Our team is investigating to find the families of both the 17-year-old boy and Yashoda. We are committed to ensuring they are treated with dignity and care," a representative from the Ashram said.

Active Campaign for a Street-Free Province

The Manav Sewa Ashram has launched an intensive rescue campaign in 2082 BS (2025/2026 AD) with the goal of creating a street-dependent-free Lumbini Province. The organization continues to work extensively in Rupandehi to manage street-dependent individuals, providing them with food, clothing, and shelter.

The rescued children are currently safe under the care of the Ashram's staff.

This news highlights the urgent need for community involvement in supporting vulnerable children and supporting organizations like the Manavsewa Ashram.
